I would like to talk to you about a very important factor in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which has a strong effect on the websites of Savannah business owners. The Page Rank score is a measurement used by Google to determine the credibility of a website. You can see it in the toolbar in your browser, it’s green/grey and measures on a scale of 0 to 10. The Page Rank score is most important in terms of your website’s homepage score. If your website has a high score then it has likely been on the web for many years, has a lot of content/pages, and a lot of links on other websites that point to your website. In other words that webmaster has been doing all the right things to perform well on Google and Bing over the years. If your website has been around for many years and it’s homepage page rank score is low then chances are that webmaster has been doing all of the wrong things over the years. Page Rank is one of many factors that Google considers in it’s evaluation of your website, but since the Panda update I believe it has become a lot more important and a score that doesn’t increase is a big indicator that something is wrong with that website.
